In this session I will talk about our journey from IT-centric and on-premise world to DevOps culture and public cloud. I will talk about steps and risks of a major transformation of an international company with over 40 teams, including transformation of culture, monitoring, introducing of on-call and putting emphasis on automation. During our transformation we adapted DevOps way of work on the organizational and team level, introduced new technologies and processes. I will talk about the highlights as well as the lowlights in our journey to also show what we would make differently next time.
I started at Webfleet in 2010 as a test engineer. With the agile transformation in 2015 I started my journey as an agile coach and later became the product owner of a team mainly responsible for CI/CD. In 2022 with the beginning of the could and devops transformation I took over the program management to move all projects related to that forward.
The Pop in Your Job: I the ever changing environment in our company I’m always forces to learn something new, broaden my horizon and step out of my comfort zone. With that it is never getting boring and I always have the possibility to take over new responsibilities.
