Hi, I am Carl. I was studying business administration when my professor assigned us to study the ‘next big thing’: web 2.0. This was the time the internet became a two way street. I was immediately intrigued and changed my Master’s specialization into E-Business. From that time onwards I have been involved in building digital products, first as an entrepreneur in the domain of crowdsourcing and later as consultant to corporates and startups. Two leitmotivs in my work are design thinking and the democratization of technology. Today I try to leverage these experiences for the most ambitious goal I have ever worked on: reaching 350 million farmers to help them regreen their land and cool down the planet.

Roy has been working in enterprise IT for nearly 30 years, starting on an IBM mainframe, then moving to SAP. Throughout this time, Roy maintained focus on doing the right thing for his clients and building a reputation as an independent voice. Ten years ago, Roy started looking beyond the SAP ecosystem for a more agile and capable web and app development platform and found OutSystems. After several significant projects bringing these technologies together at client sites, Roy started NovioQ. He is a co-author of the OutSystems SAP Connector and has written several articles on OutSystems and SAP. When not engaged at NovioQ, Roy can be found playing sports, running a small theater, when not spending time with his family and friends.
