Since December 2019 I’m employed at Scout24 Switzerland. As the Director of Software Development, I’m responsible for the software engineering of immoscout24.ch, autoscout24.ch and anibis.ch.

I studied software systems engineering at the Hasso-Plattner-Institute in Potsdam and started as a Java developer 15 years ago. I then made all my way through different roles and very diverse environments and used to work for some very large companies like Otto in Hamburg or eBay in Berlin, as well as for some small startups and mid-sized grownups.

A major lesson learned is that for being fast the size of a company doesn’t matter. DevOps makes the difference.
