Etienne is a Software Craftsman who is leading the Gradle Enterprise Engineering Team since 2015. He is highly involved in product direction as well as prioritization and also contributes to specifications, implementations, architecture reviews, design and code.

Prior to Gradle, Etienne has worked as an Engineering Manager, Senior Software Architect, and Certified Professional Scrum Master with a wide range of experience in developing mission-critical applications that run successfully in production. He focussed on customer satisfaction, high-quality deliverables, agile development process, and efficient teamwork. He is also very experienced in Test-Driven Development, Design Patterns, Refactoring, and Build Automation.
