Manfred Strauch has been "Head of IT for Finance and Corporate Shared Services" in the Swiss Market division of Swiss Life since July 2012.
He reports directly to the Executive Board and is responsible for the IT systems serving 21 business clients in the Swiss Life Group. His remit focuses mainly on Finance, Actuarial Services, HR and Risk.
Mr Strauch plays a big role in helping design and implement the IT strategy. He is responsible for sustained technological development geared towards a consistent reduction in IT complexity and cost while increasing agility and flexibility. Furthermore, he ensures the consistency of IT service quality through times of far-reaching changes in terms of culture and skill sets.
Mr Strauch represents the distinct orientation of IT to the needs of internal and external customers. His objective is the "market readiness" of IT services.
Prior to joining Swiss Life, Mr Strauch worked in the Advisory Service at Ernst & Young focusing on IT organisational development, IT cost management, IT assurance, change management and IT strategy development and implementation.
