I’m Philipp Deutscher, 38 years old, married, 1 son (born in December 2017). I studied Computer Sciences at the University of Applied Sciences in Kaiserslautern. After my diploma in 2007, I started my professional career as a software engineer in Stuttgart and gained my first experiences in the ecommerce area, developing scalable, high performance multi-shop ecommerce systems for internetstores (farrad.de, campz.de, etc.). In 2011, I moved to Karlsruhe, became Senior Engineer and later Scrum Master at BEONTRA, a company specialized in the aviation area and developing strategical and tactical planning software for international Airports. In 2013, I joined Tipico, when they started to in-house IT and software development and as Director IT Operations, I built up an infrastructure tribe supporting the transformation from traditional operations with monolithic legacy software towards a DevOps driven, service-oriented enabler department. As such we were striving for Zero Downtime environments, providing everything as a service. With the idea in mind to not only shape the operational side of a software development lifecycle (SDLC), I joined TeamViewer in October 2017 as Director Software Development. Here I can help the company with their Agile transformation on the one hand side, as well as I can realize my vision of self-organized teams with a focus to be end-to-end responsible for their own product(s).
